Vision for 2010:  Why BMW
Having competed in 600cc bike classes for three complete seasons, LWR is ready for the challenge of 1000cc American Superbike competition.  More importantly, we want to build on the 2009 podium experiences.  We want to win.  Being a privateer team gives us the liberty to choose the best bike to carry us the distance and achieve our goal.  For 2010, all data points to the fact that the BMW S1000RR is the bike for the job.

Our 2010 Program
We did our homework and considerable follow-up to line up a historical first:  to be the first team to race this fine piece of machinery in the American pro-racing arena.  We know that there will be tests along the way and no factory rig to turn to for parts or technical input.  It is a big risk and adds to the allure of racing.  Fans will be on the edge of their seats to see if this bike will meet all the media hype and buzz about its superiority.  We proudly take on this opportunity to demonstrate the BMW S1000RR advantage over other bikes and wage a race program with audacious goals including:

  • * Be a dominate force in the Pro AMA Roadracing American Superbike Class

  • * Professionally represent BMW and team partners on and off the race track

  • * Make special appearances to show off the bike and brag about it

  • * Wage an aggressive cross-promotional branding campaign

  • * Have the busiest fan greeting station in the AMA race paddock

  • * At least triple the size of our mailing list

  • * Continue www.kowgo.com with crisp look, packed full of images,
fun facts, resources, and interesting features

  • * Continue relationship with DeKalb Technical Institute Motorcycle Service
      Technology for tuning and crew

About the The BMW S 1000 RR

This motorcycle offers the very latest in racing power.  It has:

*an aluminum bridge
*radial brakes
*aerodynamic tail up /nose down design

*the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance system

We are excited about its racing ABS feature which enables a front-wheel-only mode and a dynamic traction control DTC activated by lean angle; it permits varying degrees of slip depending on the rider lean.
